David Dann On His New Single You & Me And Why Buenos Aires Calls To Him

Gentle rolling waves of synthesizers slowly cascade to reveal a pulsing and transportive beat that shuttles you through soundscapes like a surfer through the barrel of a wave. Heavily affected vocals bemoan, “I can feel the distance in between us.” David Dann’s first single in seven years — “You & Me” — feels like an anthem built for the pandemic age.

Sure enough, the track was composed in quarantine. The social isolation that came with COVID gave Dann — a 15-year music industry veteran who went from dude behind the decks to music curator to label boss at Mind of a Genius to producer and to now solo artist — the time and space he needed to look inward. In that process of soul searching, he reevaluated the trajectory of his creative career.

“I think isolation was a gigantic factor in not only this song, but my return to making

Democrat Joe Biden calls for unity in visit to historic Gettysburg in Pennsylvania

Oct. 6 (UPI) — Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden delivered a call for unity during a campaign event in southern Pennsylvania on Tuesday, a state viewed as a critical battleground for next month’s election.

Speaking in Gettysburg, in the south-central part of the state, at the site of perhaps the Civil War’s most famous battle, Biden recalled the immortal words of President Abraham Lincoln who said that “a house divided against itself cannot stand.”

Biden said the United States is once again a house divided and November’s election represents “a battle for a soul of the nation.”

“As I look across America today, I’m concerned,” he said. “The country is in a dangerous place. Our trust in each other is ebbing. Hope seems elusive. Too many Americans see our public life not as an arena for mediation of our differences, but rather they see it as an occasion for total,

CDC Offers Thanksgiving Guidelines, Calls Travel And Big Gatherings ‘High Risk’ Activities That Can Spread Coronavirus

By: KDKA-TV News Staff

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Traveling long distances, big family gatherings, watching parades and sports in person – these are all traditional Thanksgiving activities. However, this year, the CDC says they are all among the highest risk activities for spreading coronavirus.

The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention released their Thanksgiving guidelines Monday.

According to the CDC, travel increases the risk of “getting and spreading” COVID-19.

Instead, they recommend gathering around the dinner table with the immediate family in your household and connecting virtually in order to share holiday dinner with loved ones who live farther away.

If you want others to attend dinner, the CDC says hosting a small outdoor dinner gathering is safer than being indoors, but still falls under “moderate risk” activities.

The CDC also recommends “preparing traditional family recipes for family and neighbors, especially those at higher risk of severe illness from

Singapore—International luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler called Singapore’s Covid-19 response “a model for others” in an online article published on Tuesday, September 8. The article will also appear in the magazine’s print issue next month.

The reason the accolade was given by Condé Nast Traveler is for the government’s SG Clean initiative, which began in February and seeks to have businesses and establishments meet a particular set of hygiene and safety standards through issuing certifications to those that comply.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, this is necessary for Singapore, given its reliance on tourism as a source of revenue, as well as its status as a global transport and logistics hub linking 120 countries on six continents.

The SG Clean “seal of approval” is given to companies spanning a wide variety of sectors, from preschools to hawker centers to shopping malls to hotels, transport
